One of the best ways to exercise is by playing sport. Not many people like going to the gym, and for good reason to.
Firstly, there’s the cost of membership, which can run into the hundreds of dollars each year.
Secondly, some people don’t like working out in front of others.
Thirdly, running on a treadmill or working out on a rowing machine can get boring quickly.
However, if you decide to play your favorite sport, whether that be soccer, tennis, basketball, football, or any other sport you enjoy playing, then you burn calories without even noticing it, as you’re having fun in the process.
2. Doing chores
Exercise doesn’t always have to take a lot out of you. You can simply do a few chores which keep your heart rate up and help you to burn calories.
Some of these may include tending to the garden, washing your car, washing the dishes or mowing the lawn.
3. Join a Workout Class
Joining a workout class is not only beneficial if you don’t like working out alone but also if you don’t like going to the gym and having to perform the same workout every time you go.
Therefore, by joining a workout class, whether that be yoga, pilates, dancing or weight lifting, not only will you meet new people but you can also be assured that you’re performing the workout correctly as you will be working out under the guidance of an instructor.
4. Cardiovascular Exercise
Anything that gets your heart pumping for a long period of time leads to an excellent workout. While you could go jogging out in the park, a better way is to use rowing machines, elliptical trainers, exercise bikes, treadmills or even step machines.
This is because these pieces of gym equipment have specifically been designed to offer individuals an efficient and effective way to keep their heart rate up, burn calories and thus lose weight.
